iKala, a multinational AI company headquartered in Taiwan, announced today that Dr. Lee-Feng Chien, former Google Taiwan managing director, has joined its board.

Renowned as an AI veteran specialized in search and one of the most important figures in Taiwan's Internet history, Dr. Lee-Feng Chien is widely respected for his contributions to bringing Google and its data centers to Taiwan, supercharging its tech industry, and leading Google Taiwan office from the ground up to become one of the biggest Google R&D centers with thousands of employees today. He joined Google Taiwan in 2006 as the first employee and retired this year as Google Taiwan's managing director. He was a research fellow and deputy director of the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and professor of Information Management Department of National Taiwan University.
As a fast-growing multinational AI company, along with Dr. Chien's experience, iKala will continue to focus on enabling enterprises' customer acquisition capability and growing their customer lifetime value, by providing customer intelligence platform, customizable machine learning modules, influencer data analytics, and social commerce automation.
